Alik Gershon is a prominent Israeli chess grandmaster, born in 1980. He has made a notable mark in the world of chess, demonstrating exceptional skill and endurance. One of his most remarkable achievements was setting the Guinness World Record for simultaneous games, a feat that showcased his mastery of the game.

On 21 October 2010, Gershon played an unprecedented 523 opponents in Tel Aviv, emerging victorious in 454 games, which accounted for 86% of the total. He lost 11 games and drew 58, concluding the marathon session after 18 hours and 30 minutes. Although his record was short-lived, being broken by Iranian chess grandmaster Ehsan Ghaem-Maghami on 9 February 2011, Gershon's achievement remains an impressive testament to his chess prowess.
