Laura Janner-Klausner

Laura Janner-Klausner is a prominent British rabbi who has dedicated her career to promoting inclusion and development. Born and raised in London, she pursued her theological studies at the University of Cambridge. Her spiritual journey then took her to Israel, where she spent 15 years residing in Jerusalem before returning to Britain in 1999. Upon her return, Janner-Klausner continued her theological education and was eventually ordained at Leo Baeck College.
Janner-Klausner's rabbinical career has been marked by notable appointments and a commitment to activism. She served as the rabbi at Alyth Synagogue until 2011, when she became the inaugural Senior Rabbi to Reform Judaism, a position she held until 2020. After a brief period, she took on a new role as Rabbi at Bromley Reform Synagogue in south-east London, commencing her tenure in April 2022. Through her work, Janner-Klausner has demonstrated a strong passion for fostering inclusive communities and promoting development, leaving a lasting impact on the British Jewish community.
