Margit Oelsner-Baumatz

Margit Oelsner-Baumatz is a multifaceted individual with a background in psychology, education, and rabbinic studies. Born in Wrocław, Germany, she and her family relocated to Argentina to flee the Nazi regime, ultimately settling in a new environment. Her early life in Argentina did not involve strict adherence to religious traditions, despite her family's Jewish heritage.

Oelsner-Baumatz's spiritual and professional journey took a significant turn when she enrolled in the Seminario Rabinico Latinoamericano, a Latin American rabbinical seminary. She graduated from the institution in 1994, marking a pivotal moment in her development as a rabbi and a feminist. This education laid the foundation for her future work, which would integrate her psychological and educational expertise with her rabbinic training, allowing her to make a unique contribution to the field of Judaism.
