Bulletproof Stockings

Bulletproof Stockings was a distinctive American Hasidic alternative rock band hailing from Crown Heights, New York City. The group's formation in 2011 marked the beginning of a unique musical journey, led by founding members Perl Wolfe and Dalia Shusterman, formerly of the band Hopewell. As the band's lead singer, Wolfe brought a new sound to the forefront, while Shusterman's drumming expertise added depth to their alternative rock style.

The band's musical career was characterized by their independent release of the debut EP, Down to the Top, in 2012. What set Bulletproof Stockings apart was not only their distinctive sound within the Jewish music scene but also their commitment to adhering to traditional values. Specifically, they observed the prohibition of kol isha, which led them to perform exclusively for female-only audiences. This blend of modern alternative rock and traditional adherence made Bulletproof Stockings a notable presence in the music world.
