Harvey J. Fields

Harvey J. Fields was a prominent American Reform rabbi, dedicating his life to the service of the Jewish community. Born in 1935, he pursued a career in the rabbinate, eventually leading to his appointment as the rabbi of Holy Blossom Temple in Toronto, a position he held from 1978 to 1982. As the spiritual leader of the largest synagogue in Canada, Fields played a significant role in shaping the congregation's values and traditions.
Fields later relocated to the United States, where he became the rabbi of Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles, the oldest synagogue in the city. He served in this capacity from 1985 to 2003, leaving a lasting impact on the community. Throughout his career, Fields demonstrated a deep commitment to his faith and his congregations. He passed away in 2014, leaving behind a legacy as a respected and devoted American Reform rabbi.
