James Remar

American actor (born 1953)

James Remar is a veteran American actor with a career spanning over four decades in the film industry. Born in 1953, he has established himself as a versatile performer with a range of notable roles. Some of his most memorable portrayals include Ajax in the 1979 film The Warriors, Albert Ganz in the 1982 comedy 48 Hrs., and Dutch Schultz in the 1984 film The Cotton Club. He has also made a mark with his performances in other films, such as Miracle on 34th Street, where he played the role of Jack Duff in 1994.

In addition to his film work, Remar has had a successful television career, with notable roles in popular series. He is known for his portrayal of Richard Wright in the hit series Sex and the City, which he played from 2001 to 2004. He also played the role of Harry Morgan, the father of the title character, in the series Dexter from 2006 to 2013, and reprised this role in Dexter: Resurrection. Apart from his acting work, Remar has also done voice-over work for Lexus luxury cars since 2009. He developed his acting skills at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City.
