Jean Meltzer

Jean Meltzer is a Jewish American novelist who has made a significant impact in the literary world. Prior to her writing career, she worked in the television industry as a producer, writer, and director for Tapestry International, earning a Daytime Emmy Award for her work. Her experience in television production laid the groundwork for her future creative pursuits.

Meltzer's life took a dramatic turn in 2006 when she left the television industry to pursue studies in rabbinical schools and seminars in Jerusalem. She spent five years immersed in her studies before being forced to leave due to health reasons. Despite this setback, Meltzer continued to cultivate her creative talents, and in 2022, her novel The Matzah Ball was optioned for production by Sugar23, in association with Lance Bass Productions and Brett Gursky. This development marks an exciting new chapter in Meltzer's literary career.
