Lennie Niehaus

Lennie Niehaus was a renowned American saxophonist and composer who made significant contributions to the music field. Born in 1929, he was an integral part of the West Coast jazz scene, showcasing his talent as an alto saxophonist. Niehaus's professional career included notable collaborations with prominent jazz orchestras, including the Stan Kenton Orchestra, where he also served as a primary staff arranger.

In addition to his work with the Stan Kenton Orchestra, Niehaus performed with other notable jazz bands and musicians on the U.S. West Coast, such as Ray Vasquez and Phil Carreon.
