Wolf Ruvinskis was a multifaceted personality, renowned as a Mexican actor and professional wrestler. Born Wolf Ruvinskis Manevics to a Jewish family with a Latvian mother and a Ukrainian father, his early life was marked by a significant relocation to Argentina in 1923. Despite facing extreme poverty, Ruvinskis demonstrated exceptional aptitude in sports, which ultimately paved the way for his career as a professional wrestler. He embarked on an extensive touring schedule, showcasing his wrestling prowess across South America, the United States, and Mexico, a country that would eventually become his adopted home.
Ruvinskis' wrestling career spanned several decades, with notable matches against prominent figures such as El Santo, Black Shadow, El Médico Asesino, and Lobo Negro, continuing to wrestle well into the 1960s. His introduction to the Mexican film industry was a natural progression, given his profession, with roles often typecast as a professional wrestler.
